Morrigan Hel, Dominatrix
Fiery red locks lick the air like fanned flames as she moves. Piercing emerald eyes above hourglass curves, coated in a shiny black cat-suit, reflect light across the room from lubricant polish. On paper this feisty fox could be mistaken for a fictional seductress and a tantalising temptress – Jessica Rabbit. But the reality, truly, is far from it…
“My name is Mistress Morrigan and I am a dominatrix.”
British beauty, Morrigan Hel, is a sex worker in the BDSM and fetish community. Her job description offers daily services of torture, ridicule, enslavement and punishment to anyone who craves humiliation from a power-woman. Of course, to the vanilla outsider, this unusual form of fantasy may seem heartlessly savage, but for those who desire Hel, it is heaven.
“I’m both cruel and sadistic, intoxicating and magnetic. You will strive to prove yourself worthy and satisfy my exacting standards. Serving and pleasing me will be the focus of your life; your highest ambition is to be my slave. I will mould you into the perfect subject. A journey which will consume your mind, your body and ultimately your soul…” her bio states.
As a dominatrix, Morrigan is a woman who intimidates her victims, most frequently in an unnatural environment where staged scenarios are premeditated and planned to ensure consensual pain as pleasure and pay for it. As a professional dominatrix of fourteen years, Morrigan has met some unusual requests in the fetish scene, but has not been dissuaded from the role once. “I conduct sessions from my dungeon with domestic slaves and pain slaves and I’ve been doing it long enough to know the type of people I don’t want to see. But it’s important I tell you that I don’t look down on anyone, or their unique fantasies. In fact many have of my clients have become friends. I just know some fetishes are beyond my boundaries.“
But what do sessions with Hel exactly entail? It seems anything from slave training, bondage, mental and physical domination to spanking, foot play and mummification. Quite literally anything where the dominatrix is in control of the submissive. “It’s a way of unwinding; the lust to be dominated is innate within a certain type of person. You can’t suppress it. Sessions are therapeutic quite simply because society doesn’t allow us to be open about it in public. It’s like a build-up of tension in your body, no different to that of a fitness addict before the gym. But my sessions aren’t sexual, so I don’t see it as a betrayal of marriage for anyone who comes to see me from a relationship. Just my opinion of course.”
But when it comes to pain, we can’t help but wonder where the line is drawn and how the agreement of ‘too far’ is reached. “It’s quite simple really” Morrigan tells us, “domination is no different to any other business transaction. Clients make contact via email and I’ll ask about any health problems I should be aware of, as well as what they enjoy. I’ll also ask what they hate, then a deposit is secured. I need to discover what kind of person they are to give them full pleasure from the experience. For example, there’s no point doing foot fetish work on a masochist, or for those who want to feel pain. But all types of torture is always agreed in detail first so it’s safe, like nipple clamping or mummification. I’ll never push people past what their limit is because that becomes abuse and mistreatment of trust. It’s all about assurance and living out their fantasies in a safe environment, without being judged. Everything comes down to trust.”
As a self-confessed hybrid of personal life introvert and working life extrovert, it seems less surprising that Morrigan is in an equal relationship with her boyfriend and a less than equal romance with her girlfriend, whom she dominates (and who incidentally has another partner also).
“I firmly believe in equality, does that makes me one?” Morrigan says, when asked about her stance on feminism. Perhaps the two lives that Mistress Morrigan Hel leads is reflective of the continuation of inequality between societal genders. Where Morrigan lives in the real world and is submissive to our cultural norms as a woman, maybe it’s her alternative lifestyle as a dominatrix that provides true liberation and self-medicated therapy for herself.
